Approximately 7,000 lashed out in protest in central Athens on Tuesday. The protesters did not want President Obama visiting the Greek capital, according to Reuters. The demonstrators had planned to march to the US Embassy located in another part of the city, but the crowd was disrupted by police officers.
Protesters say US policy is creating tensions with countries around the world including China and Russian.
No arrest of injuries were reported.
