Green Party’s Jill Stein linked to possible collusion with Russia

Former presidential Green Party candidate Jill Stein is now being sought in a Senate probe for possible collusion with Russia during the election, according to a new report.

On Monday, the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen Richard Burr (R-N.C.), announced that the panel will be pursuing two investigations regarding Russian collusion, Stein’s being one of the two.

According to reports from the Washington Post and Politico, Stein was the beneficiary of Russian-purchased political ads on Facebook.

In 2015, Stein also dined with Russian president Vladimir Putin during an event in Moscow. Another individual in attendance at this event was Mike Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser.

Burr previously indicated that, in addition, the committee is investigating reports that Hillary Clinton paid for the dossier of explosive allegations against then-candidate Trump during the 2016 election.
