The man whose sexting habits was ultimately responsible for the FBI’s decision to re-open their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails and throw her entire campaign into a tailspin had to find somewhere to get away from it all.
Anthony Weiner has checked himself into a $30,000-a-month sex-addiction rehab facility at “The Ranch” – a 2,000 acre spread about an hour west of Nashville.
Weiner, 52, is currently under investigation by the FBI for sending obscene sexting photos of himself to a 15-year-old girl. While reviewing a laptop he shared with his estranged wife, Huma Abedin, the FBI discovered a bombshell – over 650,000 emails relating to Abedin’s work with Hillary Clinton, her campaign, the Clinton Foundation and the State Department.
It is reported that Weiner checked himself into The Ranch in early October, where he is not allowed to access his phone or any electronic devices.
Instead, he’s enjoying horseback riding, canoeing, fishing and hikes through the woods at the beautiful, secluded Tennessee ranch. The Daily Mail reports that the ranch is one of the nation’s top treatment centers for sex addiction, and includes adventure therapies designed to “encourage feelings of accomplishment, trust and natural highs, without drugs, alcohol or self-defeating patterns.”
Male and female guests at the ranch are housed in separate buildings and kept apart.
The program also holds three-day family sessions for wives and partners. Although Weiner and Abedin are separated, she has been encouraged to visit him at the ranch and to get involved in his treatment.
Karen Brownd, a director at The Ranch, had told radio talk show host Larry Elders back in 2013 that Weiner’s behavior “has all the markings of sex addiction.” At that time, he had already been caught sexting for the second time while he was running for mayor of New York City.
In August, Abedin, 40, announced she was ending her six-year marriage to Weiner. They have a four-year-old son together.
