Employees at an Oklahoma Walmart made a gruesome discovery in one of the family bathrooms.
Finding the bathroom locked from the inside, an employee assumed the toilet was broken and put an out-of-order sign on the door. That was Friday.
The door stayed locked over the weekend until it was discovered on Monday that there was actually the body of a dead woman inside the bathroom, laying on the floor. And she had likely been there for three days.
It took a while for police to figure out her identity, but they spotted the deceased woman, now known as 29-year-old Katherine Caraway, entering the Sand Springs Walmart about 6 p.m. Friday. She was seen walking into the bathroom, but there was no surveillance video that shows her leaving, according to KTLA.
Caraway, of Muskogee, likely died from a health condition.
Noting that they were sad about what happened, Walmart put out a statement, saying, “We don’t know all the facts right now, but we are working closely with local law enforcement to provide what information we have that might be useful.”
