In the suicide note he left to his fiancée before hanging himself in his jail cell last month, Aaron Hernandez wrote to Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, “This was the supremes, the almighty’s plan, not mine! I love you!”

Prosecutors recently released the note, in which Hernandez calls his fiancee his “soul-mate” and an “angel,” and urges her to “live life and know I’m always with you.”

Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the killing of Odin Lloyd and was involved in a homosexual affair with one of his fellow inmates during the time he penned the suicide note to his fiancée. “I told you what was coming indirectly!” he wrote to her. “I love you so much and know you are an angel — literally! We split into two to come change the world!”

He ended the letter indicating he believed she would inherit his fortune, telling Jenkins-Hernandez to look “after [Redacted] and [Redacted] for me – those are my boys. (You’re rich.)”

Hernandez hanged himself in his cell at the Souza-Barnowski Correctional Center on April 19.
