Facebook Announces “Fact-Checking” Partners

The Associated Press announced Thursday that Facebook has selected five organizations to serve as “fact-checkers” in an effort to combat fake news.

If a user reports a story as fake news, Facebook will outsource the fact-checking chore to one of five organizations: ABC News, The Associated Press, FactCheck.org, Politifact and Snopes.

Do you see their choice of fact-checkers as being ultimately the end of Facebook in terms of it’s potential?

PLEASE COMPLETE OUR POLL BELOW so we can measure the results.
