Speaking at Recode’s Code Conference Wednesday in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Hillary Clinton claimed that being a woman cost her the presidential election, noting that she didn’t “look like, talk like and sound like everybody else who’s been president.”
Clinton also noted that Barack Obama broke the racial barrier to become president. “But, you know, he’s a very attractive, good-looking man with lots of….” What else she was going to add, we will never know, as she was interrupted by host Kara Swisher at that moment.
“Well, he’s likeable enough,” Swisher stated.
The annual invitation-only conference is attended by some of the biggest names among business executives and start-up organizations to discuss the impact of future of digital technology.
This year, politics was a large part of the discussion as well – especially during Clinton’s interview.
