On Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton went off track in her 20-minute stump speech at a Fort Lauderdale, FL. rally when a protester catcalled and denounced her husband as a sexual predator. Clinton arrived over an hour late for the start of the rally, but about three minutes into her speech, a heckler shouted, “Bill Clinton is a rapist!” He then waved a neon green sign, written with the same statement.
Clinton deviated off her speech, and pointed a finger at the protester. “I am sick and tired of the negative, dark, divisive, dangerous vision and the anger of people who support Donald Trump,” Clinton hoarsely shouted. “It is time for us to say no, we are not going backwards, we’re going forward into a brighter future.”
At nearly every Clinton rally there have been protesters who show up to make the rape claims, but this was the first time Clinton ever stopped her speech to target a protester. This male protester in particular was escorted out of the rally as supporters chanted “Hillary, Hillary, Hillary!”
