Hillary Clinton has given the Democratic National Committee (DNC) a leg up, as reports indicate she gave the party her email list.
As the party is preparing for the 2018 midterm elections and the 2020 presidential election, Clinton’s email list plays a big role in kicking off its campaign. It is reported that the list is valued at $3.5 million and has over 10 million names the DNC did not previously have in its voter files.
“This information will help candidates up and down the ballot engage with voters and win seats from the school board to the Senate,” said Xochitl Hinojosa, communications director for the DNC. “We’re seeing momentum and energy across the country, and this investment will help us harness the energy and turn it into votes.”
Apparently, the email list was a contribution from the Hillary for America campaign organization. Clinton had made the promise to do whatever she could to help the Democratic Party if she did not win the 2016 election.
To date, Sen. Bernie Sanders has not given the Democratic Party his email lists.
