Speaking at a dinner of the Society of Irish Women in Scranton, Pennsylvania on St. Patrick’s Day Friday, Hillary Clinton said she’s “ready to come out of the woods.”
Scranton is the hometown of Clinton’s late father, who left to work in Chicago during the Great Depression, but reportedly returned there often, and Hillary Clinton spent summers in the family cottage there.
In an obvious slam at President Trump, Clinton said, “I’m like a lot of my friends right now – I have a hard time watching the news.”
She encouraged people to “listen to each other again” and to make a difference, saying, “I’m not sure it will come out of Washington yet, but I think it can come out of Scranton.”
