Is Hillary more popular today than a year ago? New poll reveals the consensus

A new Gallup poll just released Wednesday revealed that former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s favorably and un-favorability ratings have remained unchanged since the 2016 election.

Clinton still retains a 41 percent favorable rating, and a 57 percent unfavorable rating.

Gallup noted that in past presidential elections, normally the losing candidate’s favorable ratings improve, but this has not happened for Clinton. Her numbers have remained unchanged since she lost the election to Donald Trump seven months ago.

Clinton’s image “remains near its record low since 1992,” Gallup reported, adding that it is unclear, at this point, when or if her image will ever recover.

The Gallup poll was conducted June 7-11 through telephone interviews, in a random sampling of 1,009 adults across the nation.
