Trust me when I tell you, there are very few people in the media who really want Hillary and Bill to be held accountable for their crimes. I’ll give you a prime example, using an experience I had not long ago.
I can’t get into too much detail, but I write this: I suggested an interview be conducted with a writer who allegedly had new information about Bill and Hillary, and the sexual wrong-doings of the former president. The level of resistance I faced was shocking, and my suggestion was killed on the spot.
This is what I received in response to my suggestion: “I have told the producers, including ______, multiple times that we are not interested in covering rumors from 20 years ago.
Keep in mind, I received that message from a “so-called” conservative who has operated in the media for decades. But this sort of response is par for the course. I think the resistance, in part, is because the Clintons have dirt on so many people in the media.
In my opinion, Hillary has become a professional liar when it comes to protecting Bill. There is no better example of this than what took place on Friday when Hillary Clinton was asked to answer questions about Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) saying her husband Bill Clinton should have resigned the presidency after his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
Bill Clinton, one of only two presidents to be impeached in American history, was impeached for lying under oath about his relationship with Lewinsky and obstructing justice.
In a rare interview, host Rita Cosby asked Hillary the tough questions that need to be answered about Bill.
But instead of addressing her husband’s history of being accused of rape and sexual misconduct, Clinton spun the conversation to focus on President Trump and the 2005 tape of him making lewd remarks about grabbing women by their vagina.
“Republicans are led by a man who admitted to sexually assaulting women,” Clinton said. “And if we are going to encourage women to be heard, we can’t excuse the president from this debate.”
Cosby followed up by asking if the allegations against Trump are different then those against her husband and, if the allegations from 1998 happened today, if Bill Clinton would last in office.
“I don’t know if we can rewrite and revise history,” Clinton said.
“Look, I think every situation has to be judged on its own merit, and there were allegations that were disproved. There were allegations that were absolutely contradicted under sworn testimony,” Clinton said. “So, of course, you should give people who make allegations the benefit of the doubts. That’s what our system does, but then you have to investigate them and that fully happened in the late 90s.” In other words, Hillary says Bill did no wrong.
Until the biggest names in the mainstream media put pressure on the bad behavior of Bill Clinton to be reexamined, nothing will be done.
