Another Hollywood actor has been accused of domestic abuse. Ryan Phillippe, 43, has been sued by his ex-girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, 21. She claims Phillippe physically assaulted her while he was intoxicated and angry.

Hewitt, a model who has reportedly been dating Phillippe since April, says that during an argument on July 3, he allegedly punched and kicked her, then threw her down a flight of stairs in his Los Angeles home.

Court documents, obtained by The Blast describe the alleged incident: “He grabbed Hewitt’s upper arm so tightly that his grip left heavy bruises on her arm hours later. He then braced his body and violently threw her down his staircase as hard as he could.”

Hewitt reportedly went to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following the alleged incident. Police filed a report at the time; however, Phillippe was not arrested, nor were charges filed against him. Hewitt was granted a temporary emergency restraining order against Phillippe. Her $1 million lawsuit cites chest wall pain, severe bruising and abrasions.

Hewitt further alleges that Phillippe regularly abused “a panoply of legal and illegal drugs, including without limitation: cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and steroids.”

Hewitt’s attorney, Keith Fink, told Page Six, “Ms. Hewitt filed this case for all those women who have been abused. Such conduct is intolerable. Neither she nor I seek any money in this case and any money awarded will be donated to a battered women society.”

Phillippe reportedly denied the claims, making a statement through his representative: “As a staunch advocate for the health, well-being, and equality of women, Ryan is completely devastated that these false allegations have been made and circulated. Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue and fabricated and proven false claims should not be used to unjustly slander the falsely accused. The claims are false.”

Last month, Jeremy R. Lindholm, 41, an actor who appeared on the television show, “Twin Peaks,” was arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend with a baseball bat, and is now facing attempted murder charges.

A-list actor and Trump detractor Johnny Depp was also accused of abusing his girlfriend, fellow Hollywood actress Amber Heard. In a video allegedly taken by Heard before a May incident in which she says Depp hit her, Depp appears to drunkenly yell at Heard in their kitchen before throwing a wine bottle and wineglass at her.
