The Huffington Post pulled a rather bizarre article written by staffer Jason Fuller Thursday, after it received criticism following the shooting in Alexandria, VA Wednesday.
Published Saturday, the article invoked borderline barbaric language to refer to the President and the current Russia investigation, saying that in order to “drain the swamp” the President must endure the “ultimate punishment.”
Fuller defines what he means by “ultimate punishment” in the piece’s title: “Trump must be prosecuted— if convicted in a court of law —executed.”
Fuller goes on to further explain that not only Trump but other leading members of the GOP, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan need to “face justice” and receive the “ultimate punishment.”
It appears that after a week that saw two congressional testimonies provide zero evidence that Trump has done anything illegal let alone something worthy of execution, and members of the GOP fighting for their lives after a real tragedy, the Huffington Post realized the article was not legitimate material.
