Border apprehensions surged to record highs for the month of October, and a horrific rape attack by an illegal alien is just another reminder of why Americans want the border secured.
Halloween became a nightmare for one young woman one northern Virginia.
Sometime between 2:15 to 3:15 a.m. on October 31, an illegal alien who had been living in Fredericksburg, Virginia crashed his SUV into a young woman’s car as she was driving east on Kings Highway (State Route 3), causing her to spin out of control and end up on the shoulder of the road.
Then the driver of the SUV, 26-year-old illegal alien Roberto Carolos Flores Sibrian, went to the young woman’s car, forcibly hauled her from the car, dragged her off into a bushy area of a nearby ditch and raped her for about two hours.
After Sibrian finally stopped the attack and drove away in his SUV, the woman managed to call 911 for help.
Based on a shirt the man left behind, as well as DNA evidence and the woman’s testimony, police were able to track down her attacker as Sibrian and arrested him three days later where he was working in North Carolina at a construction site.
Police have not released what country he is from, but have confirmed that he is an illegal alien. He is reportedly being held in the Lee County Jail in North Carolina on a $100,000 bond and an ICE detainer.
Stafford Sheriff’s spokeswoman M.C. Morris Moncure refused to release further information “in order to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of the victim.”
However, Sheriff David Decatur reportedly said no one was more important to the investigation than the victim, as she had been able to provide critical information despite the horrific ordeal she went through. “Because of her resilience and strength, we got information that was vital in leading us to the suspect,” Decatur said. “She is one incredible lady.”
MRC TV reported that according to Customs and Border Protection, 46,197 illegal aliens crossed into the United States across the southern border in the month of October alone – including 13,124 members of “family units” and 6,754 unaccompanied “children”.
Previously, May 2016 had set the record for FY2016, at 40,337 illegals pouring into the U.S. The October count is up by 6,000 from the May record.
According to MRC TV:
Immigration officials said they’re currently housing about 41,000 illegal aliens in detention centers that typically accommodate between 31,000 and 34,000 people. The increased surge of aliens has caused border authorities to acquire new space to house individuals and increase personnel to keep up with the influx.
Most of these illegal aliens who aren’t from Mexico will be released into the United States with an order to appear before an immigration judge. More than half won’t show up to court.
