The most violent people on Earth…
In early March, about 1,000 migrants, mainly from Eritrea, Sudan and Afghanistan set up camp underneath a rail bridge at the elevated Stalingrad metro station. Police have evacuated them twice, but they keep returning.
Thursday night, all chaos broke loose in a ferocious battle of metal poles and planks of wood. Reportedly, there were two incidents – The melee erupted Thursday night at around 9:00 p.m. after police arrested a man for being drunk and disorderly, then was rekindled about 11:30 pm when a group of men threw objects at the migrants. It erupted into a massive riot. Police were called again to break it up and were forced to use tear gas to stop the madness. Four people were taken to the hospital afterwards.
A local resident said there had never been violence with the group before.
