INSIDE JOB? New Twist to the Kardashian Theft

Earlier this week, reality TV star and social media icon, Kim Kardashian, was robbed of a reported $10,000,000 worth of jewels while she was alone in her Paris hotel.  Since then, speculation about “who done it” has blanketed the headlines around the globe.

Each day, more information about the heist is revealed, and with each revelation it appears the event was an ‘inside job.’

In the latest plot twist, is reporting that Kim’s bodyguard filed bankruptcy for his German security company ten weeks ago with debts of more than $1.2M.

The bodyguard’s name is Pascal Duvier.  At 43 year-old, the judo expert stands 6-feet, 4 inches.  Duvier has run security for a host of stars including Kim, her husband Kanye West, and the musical group Black Eyed Peas, Fergie,, the Pussycat Dolls, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Lana del Rey and Katy Perry.

According to the DailyMail, the lawyer handling the bankruptcy told MailOnline, ‘There is so much debt. There are many claimants. I cannot say the exact number. Lots.’

According to Kim, five gunmen disguised as police officers and wearing ski masks entered her room and bound and gagged her in the luxury Hotel de Pourtalès. Meanwhile, Duvier went to a nightclub with her sisters Kourtney and Kendall Jenner.

According to reports, Duvier arrived at the hotel two minutes after the robbers escaped on bicycles with the jewels.

Although the DailyMail is reporting that Kim told friends she does not blame Duvier for the heist, it is impossible to overlook his money problems.  The bankruptcy documents state the company’s ‘inability to pay debts.’  The filing further states that claimants who say the company owes them money had until September 16 to file their claims.

According to DailyMail, hours before the robbers entered Kim’s hotel, Duvier posted a message on his social media page: ‘You don’t become a bodyguard over night. It’s a job with dedication, responsibility and passion.’

So far no arrests have been made in the case, and police have already confirmed that there was no CCTV camera inside or directly outside the block.  Below is a video of a former bodyguard who believes the heist is an inside job.  Below that is video of Duvier protecting Kardashian from a wild fan.
