Instructions on welcome mat pay off for police

A welcome mat on the front step of a house provided instructions to police officers whose actions resulted in four arrests in New Madrid County, Missouri.

The New Madrid Police Department concluded a months-long investigation Wednesday by serving a search warrant at a home where the welcome mat was printed with the statement, “COME BACK WITH A WARRANT.”

The officers did just that, subsequently securing the house to begin their search which yielded numerous suspicious items such as prescription medication, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia including pipes and scales, cash, and two firearms.

Four suspects were arrested during the execution of the search warrant, including Michael Shane Sullivan, Whitney Dawn Hill, Tiffany Michelle Jones, and Tina Renee Hall.

All face multiple felony charges including delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid and unlawful use of a weapon.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Tina Renee Hall. The other three suspects are being held without bond.
