Iran using your tax money to strengthen military

Iranian military leaders claim their country is using the nuclear deal arrangement they have with the United States to build up its military. A recent announcement from officials in the region said billions in cash resources are being provided through the deal and are directly boosting their defense budget.

Iran’s defense budget has increased 145 percent since the deal was made, according to officials. The funds are being used to increase the size and strength of their military, creating “a forward-moving force,” according to reports in the region.

Some of the items they claim to be using the funds for are new military equipment and other armaments.

According to Fox News, Congress and other U.S. officials believe some of the money given to Iran through the Obama administration’s $1.7 billion cash payment is going towards terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

The country has also purchased a multi-million dollar arms deal with Russia since the nuclear deal was made.
