ISIS releases video of alleged Putin spy beheading

ISIS has released a video showing another gruesome beheading. They claim they captured a Russian spy and celebrated the murder by releasing the video on Russia’s Victory Day Parade, the 72nd anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.

Russian senator Viktor Ozerov said the defence ministry is checking the authenticity of the video, but according to Russia’s news agencies, the defense ministry said a Russian serviceman had not been captured and executed by ISIS.

“Even if it is a fake, it shouldn’t be left without attention. If it happened, then there will be hell to pay,” Ozerov said to Russia’s Interfax news agency.

The ISIS video shows a man holding a knife standing behind a man they claim is a Russian intelligence officer. It also shows images of Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as scenes from the aftermath of the Russian bombing raids in Syria.

Russia said about 30 of their servicemen were killed since the start of the Kremlin operation in Syria. Their military is supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who has been fighting back militants who are trying to get rid of him.

ISIS has released numerous disturbing videos of murders and beheadings including journalists and soldiers.

Below is another photo that is circulating, reportedly also from the video.
