ISIS Video Shows Radicals Using Puppies as Explosives


In a video uploaded by the Al-Hashd Al Sha’abi, three fighters associated with the militia group show a puppy strapped with explosives and armed for detonation by ISIS.

Al-Sha’abi fighters, also known as the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU), spoke into the camera saying the puppy was sent into their direction by ISIS radicals. The three men found the small dog with a fitted belt made up of explosives.

The belt, as explained by the PMU, was comprised of water bottles filled with shrapnel, capable of killing three to four people via remote detonator.

“ISIS has just sent an innocent animal with explosives wrapped around it to our position to try and blow our troops up,” the PMU said. “We have disarmed the explosives and taken them off.”

According to the PMU, the puppy was later given to the Baghdad Zoo.
