Traditionally, Iraqis, including Kurds celebrate their annual spring festivals on March 21st, which is called “Nowruz”.  But, not if ISS has anything to say about it.

[pullquote align=”right” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious.” — Ayatollah Khomeini[/pullquote]

The leader in The Public Mobilization Units “Jabbar al-Maamouri” confirmed on Sunday, that “ISIS” terror group has prevents the participation in the celebrations of spring festivals in its strongholds and vowed to punish the violators with “20 lashes”.

Al-Maamouri said in an interview that, “ISIS terror group prevents the celebrations of the spring festivals in its strongholds, as contrary to its principles and thoughts, and threatened who violates the ban with sanctions up to 20 lashes”.

Al-Mamouri added: “ISIS forbids and prevents all forms of inherited celebrations within regions and cities controlled by the terror group, by the pretext of non-compliance with its principles and ideas”, pointing out that, “the organization has deployed more of so-called Islamic police to monitor the ban against the celebrations of spring festivals”.

People in ISIS-controlled regions who have “spring fever” better contain it.
