The White House began releasing the financial information of approximately 180 senior officials on Friday night, which included Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner since the two have been named top advisers to the president.
Reportedly, the couple will remain beneficiaries of the Kushner family’s real estate business, which is worth more than $700 million.
Kushner has reportedly “stepped down from his management positions at more than 200 entities tied to his family’s real estate business.” However, through a series of trusts that own the real estate companies, he will still be a beneficiary of most of them.
Like her father, Ivanka will not take a salary for her White House position, despite the fact that she is now a federal employee.
It is not clear how much she will earn from her holdings in the Trump Organization’s hotel in downtown Washington, D.C., but Ivanka will keep her interests in the family business, even though she has resigned from her management role.
The first daughter also owns a fashion company which is reportedly worth at least $5 million, but she has resigned from working there, as well.
It is expected that more details of her finances will eventually be released.
Prior to officially being hired to work at the White House, Ivanka was often involved in governmental meetings and sometimes attended diplomatic talks, causing critics to raise ethical concerns.
“I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the president in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules, and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees,” Ivanka said earlier this week.
“Throughout this process, I have been working closely and in good faith with the White House counsel and my personal counsel to address the unprecedented nature of my role.”
