America’s Got Talent’s Jacqueline“Jackie” Evancho was chosen by President elect Donald Trump to sing at his inauguration on January 20th, 2017.
Evancho announced the news Wednesday while a guest on the “Today” show.
Evancho said, “I am so excited. It’s going to be awesome, I felt really honored to be able to sing for the office. It’s a great honor for me.”
Jackie, 16, is an American classical/crossover singer. Evancho already has 6 albums, one became platinum and another went gold.
At the age of 10, Evancho became the second place winner of America’s Got Talent in 2010.
Jackie has performed before large crowds in the past. She sang at the 2010 Christmas tree lighting in Washington D.C.
She is also the youngest performer to ever give a solo concert at Lincoln Center in New York City.
