This Wednesday in New York, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will be joining other tech heavyweights to attend Donald Trump’s summit of tech-industry executives. Those expected to be in attendance as well are Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Oracle co-CEO Safra Catz, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, as well as Larry Page and Eric Schmidt, CEO and chairman of Google parent Alphabet.
The summit will take place at Trump Tower in Manhattan, where Trump and his transition team have headquartered their operations in scouting out Trump’s future cabinet choices. The press are currently not invited to attend.
Trump and Bezos publicly clashed earlier this year when the president-elect temporarily blacklisted the Bezos owned Washington Post from campaign events, and described Bezos’ ownership of the Post as a tax dodge.
Trump has also been at odds with Cook after Trump criticized the Apple CEO for manufacturing its phones in China and refusing to provide security backdoors to law enforcement. Earlier in May, Cook joined Page at the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum panel to discuss plans of stopping Trump’s nomination.
