Following his eight-year tenure as vice president of the United States, Joe Biden will now be heading a new foreign policy institute at the University of Pennsylvania in Washington, D.C.
The name of the institute will reportedly be the Penn Biden Center on Diplomacy and Global Engagement and Biden, himself, will have an office on the university’s campus.
On Tuesday, the university revealed the institute will concentrate on national security and international relations.
According to The Hill, the former vice president confirmed the news in the following statement: “I look forward to building on the work that has been a central pillar of my career in public office: promoting and protecting the [post-World War II] international order that keeps the United States safe and strong.”
