Josh Earnest: No Need to Apologize for Obamacare

White House Press Secretary, Josh Earnest, was asked by a reporter at a press conference if President Obama should apologize for Obamacare.

The question was in response to a recent comment by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise’s (R-LA) declaration that President Obama should apologize for lying about Americans’ ability to retain their health insurance under the Obamacare program.

Josh Earnest responded, “The President’s record on the Affordable Care Act speaks for itself.”

Josh Earnest went on to tout the great accomplishments that President Obama achieved by creating the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, then summarized with, “Obama took on the kinds of tough challenges that Washington had been ignoring for too long, and Democratic and Republican presidents for a hundred years had tried, or at least considered trying, to take on the notion of healthcare reform. President Obama took it on and succeeded in getting it done.”
