Mainstream media outlets have been using words like “collusion” and “treason” to describe Don Jr.’s meeting with Veselnitskaya, but they’ve been ignoring the that several Democrats worked as lobbyists for the Russian lawyer in her efforts to campaign against the Magnitsky Act: a law which was passed in response to the murder of Sergei Magnistky, a Russian tax lawyer who accused numerous Russian officials of corruption and human rights violations.
An investigation into Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. on June 9, 2016, has uncovered that she had several high-profile Democratic lobbyists working for her, including radical left-winger former California Democratic Rep. Ron Dellums, according to a report from the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group.
Having served 13 terms in Congress representing San Francisco and Oakland before retiring in 1996, Dellums proudly calls himself a socialist. A complaint filed to the Department of Justice Foreign Agents Registration Act division last July proves that Dellums did not register as a foreign agent representing Veselnitskaya in a Russian-led campaign to repeal the Magnitsky Act.
Enacted in December 2012, the law was passed as a way to punish Russian officials responsible for the death of Magnitsky, who died in a Moscow prison in 2009. President Barack Obama signed the bipartisan act into law.
In retaliation, President Vladimir Putin stopped the practice of letting Americans adopt Russian children.
The Daily Caller delved deeper into Veselnitskay’s connection to the U.S. and revealed the following:
“Magnitsky was a tax lawyer with the Hermitage Fund, a London-based firm that invested in Russia. The tax lawyer uncovered a $230 million scheme allegedly run by Russian mobsters. He informed Russian officials of the corruption.
Instead of investigating Prevezon Holdings Ltd., a Russian-owned firm implicated in the scandal, Russian officials arrested Magnitsky. He died in prison in 2009 after being tortured and killed in prison, according to the Russian Presidential Human Rights Commission.
Prevezon was owned by Denis Katsyv who, along with Veselnitskaya, created the Human Rights Accountability Global Initiative Foundation in the U.S. The foundation was designed to repeal the Magnitsky Act using a lobbying team that included Dellums.”
The Daily Caller also noted that Glenn Simpson, founder of Fusion GPS, “worked with [Veselnitskaya] on a legal case for years.”
They pointed out that Fusion GPS is the same company that reportedly commissioned a fake “dossier” from former British spy Christopher Steele which made outrageous charges against President Trump.
Regardless of the lies it contained, BuzzFeed decided to publish the fake news 10 days before Trump was inaugurated.
Christopher Cooper, the founder and CEO of Potomac Square Group, is also revealed as a Democrat on Veselnitskaya’s payroll.
“His company does campaign work for foreign principles and foreign governments including the governments of Azerbaijan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, UAE, and Nigeria as well as Russia. The company’s clients have included Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown and Democratic presidential hopeful Vermont Gov. Howard Dean,” according to the report, which notes that “Potomac Square also partnered with Dean’s campaign manger Joe Trippi on behalf of the families of radical Islamic terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay.”
The Senate Committee on the Judiciary will convene a hearing next week on the Russian government’s opposition to the Magnitsky Act. William Browder, the founder of the Hermitage Fund, is expected to be called as one of the witnesses.
There are also other reports of the lawyer protesting President Trump before he was elected and meeting with anti-Trump Republican John McCain.
And on Thursday, revelations were unveiled on how the Russian lawyer was permitted by former Attorney General Loretta Lynch to stay in the U.S. without a visa.
