U.K. police have arrested a man suspected of plotting a terror attack near the British Parliament in London.

According to officials, the man was carrying knives at the time of his arrest.

“The man, aged in his late twenties, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism,” a Scotland Yard statement read. “Knives have been recovered from him. He is being detained under the Terrorism Act and is in custody in a south London police station.”

No injuries were reported, but traffic was closed surrounding the official residence of British Prime Minister Theresa May.

May’s office told CNN she was not in the area at the time.
