JUST IN: Trump’s lawyer will testify in Russia investigation, date set

President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen said Tuesday that he was summoned to appear before the House Intelligence Committee in September. He received the subpoena last month.

The House Intelligence Committee has been far less active in its Russia probe than its counterpart in the Senate after former Chairman Devin Nunes was forced to recuse himself for the mishandling of classified information.

Rep. Michael Conway (R-Texas) has since taken over and doesn’t have much to say on the matter.

“I don’t talk about details,” Conway told reporters.

Cohen is to testify Sept 5, after he was named in a dossier of contacts with Russian officials compiled by a former British Operative.
