President Trump’s lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, has resigned after he sent threatening emails to a retired public relations professional who anonymously suggested through an email that he should resign.
The resignation followed after an article was published in Propublica on July 11, which talked about his problems with alcohol as the reason he will never get a security clearance. Because he’s been representing the President during the Russian probe, it’s likely that Kasowitz would need security clearance; but he apparently didn’t want to hear it.
Responding to the email, Kasowitz was initially succinct: “F*ck you” (sic) was all he wrote. But then he started a scary-sounding dialogue, issuing threats such as, “And you don’t know me, but I will know you How dare you send me an email like that I’m on you now You are f****** with me now Let’s see who you are Watch your back, b****.”
Kasowitz later apologized, but the damage was done after the person called the FBI and reported him. Now, he will probably never get a security clearance. Kasowitz’s spokesman, Mark Corallo, has resigned as well.
Trump’s legal team now consists of Ty Cobb, Jay Sekulow and John Dowd.earlier this week.
