Just days after he formally told the Trump Administration that he would not accept a nomination for a Justice Department position, husband of Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, George Conway, took to Twitter to criticize Trump over tweets he made regarding his proposed travel ban from six muslim majority countries.
The Trump Administration requested the Supreme court review the lower courts decision that the ban was unconstitutional last week and this week Trump has tweeted several times on the matter, culminating in his frustration that the version the Justice Department had submitted to the court was “watered down, politically correct.”
Conway responded with venom by saying that while the tweets make some people feel better they make the Justice Department’s job more difficult, and making fun of Trump’s tendency to punctuate his tweets with the emotions he’s feeling.
These tweets may make some ppl feel better, but they certainly won’t help OSG get 5 votes in SCOTUS, which is what actually matters. Sad. https://t.co/zVhcyfm8Hr
