A woman went on a five-bank robbery spree in Utah on Saturday morning, dressed casually in her pajama bottoms and a comfy top.
“It’s very brazen; she feels like she can get away with it,” said police Lt. Brian Lohrke of Salt Lake County.
According to police, she attempted to rob five banks in a 90-minute period on Saturday morning. She also hit a sixth bank the day before.
Her modus operandi was to hand the teller a note demanding money, but she never displayed a weapon. “Maybe she is from out of town, because she is not covering her face and hopefully somebody would have recognized her by now,” Lohrke said.
Police said the woman got cash in five of the robberies, at least one of which caught images of her on surveillance cameras. She apparently got spooked at one of the banks and ran out before anything happened.
Salk Lake City Police have posted images of the woman, hoping that someone will recognize her. She is described as a white, 5-foot-5 female in her 30’s with dark hair in a ponytail. She was wearing prescription glasses and a had a noticeable mole under her right eye. She was wearing a blue bandana wrapped around her head.
If anyone has information about her, please contact the Salt Lake City Police.
