Kathy Griffin could not resist joining in the criticism of President Trump for the insults he levied on Twitter against MSNBC anchor Mike Brzezinski.
“POTUS likes to punch down. Whether it’s anchors, US Attorneys, or standup comics. Meanwhile, millions are about to lose health insurance,” Griffin tweeted.

In late May, Griffin came under intense scrutiny when she posted a photo online showing her holding a Trump mask drenched with fake blood.
Griffin incurred a swift backlash that led to her dismissal from CNN.
The comedian apologized and hired a legal team to represent her during an investigation by the Secret Service. In a press conference, Griffin admitted that she “screwed up,” but cried foul soon thereafter, claiming that she feared for her safety and future job prospects after members of the Trump family criticized her actions and called on business partners to sever ties with her.
“The death threats that I’m getting are constant and they are detailed and they are serious and they are specific,” Griffin said.
Despite the consequences, Griffin said she would continue joking about Trump.
“This bully, this President, of all people, is gonna come after me?” Griffin said. “He picked the wrong redhead.”
