The legendary voice of the LA Dodgers baseball team, Vin Scully says he will not watch the NFL games due to the protests that take place during the national anthem.
The beloved Scully was at an event Saturday night when he declared his loyalty to the flag and our national anthem. He said he will never watch another NFL game.
“I have only one personal thought really. And I am so disappointed,” Scully said at an event in Pasadena, Calif. “And I used to love during the fall and winter to watch the NFL on Sunday. And it’s not that I’m some great patriot. I was in the Navy for a year. Didn’t go anywhere, didn’t do anything. But I have overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war.”
“So the only thing I can do in my little way is not to preach,” he continued. “I will never watch another NFL game.”
The NFL plays today, as they do on every Sunday. Already there have been some protests during the 1pm games. DML News will have a full list of all players who took a knee or showed some sign of protest later in the day.
