Lena Dunham Isn’t Pregnant – But She Wants an Abortion

On the latest episode of her controversial podcast “Women of the Hour,” claims she’s never been pregnant but wishes she could have an abortion in order to fight the “stigma around this issue.” The actress reveals a story about meeting a young woman at a Planned Parenthood in Texas several years ago. The woman asked the “Girls” star to join a project where women share their personal stories of abortion.

“Something I’ve thought about a lot is the fact that there is stigma around abortion,” Dunham said on her podcast. “I sort of jumped. ‘I haven’t had an abortion,’ I told her. I wanted to make it really clear to her that as much as I was going out and fighting for other women’s options, I myself had never had an abortion.”

It’s then that Dunham claims the experience made her wish she knew what the feeling of having an abortion was like: “Even I, the woman who cares as much as anybody about a woman’s right to choose, felt it was important that people know I was unblemished in this department. Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.”

Soon enough, many individuals took to Twitter and social media to lambast Dunham’s comments:
