Liberal Media Downplaying Muslim Faith of Bombing Suspect

Ahmad Khan Rahami, the New York bombings suspect, is Muslim. It is a confirmed fact, as well as an important factor behind Rahami’s reasonings to target innocent people with explosives. Despite knowing his faith, liberal media outlets have been downplaying or outright obscuring the fact that Rahami is indeed a Muslim, due to manipulative motives of political correctness.

Three major news networks, NBC, ABC, and CBS, hid the foreign Muslim connection until their second story on the attacks. Even then, the mentions of his faith and being born outside the U.S. were brief and remotely subtle. One network implied Rahami’s motives to bomb New York were due to “bad business deals” gone awry, rather than suggesting his faith influenced the attacks.

NBC anchor Lester Holt flat out refused to mention the suspect’s faith. Holt, similar to other anchors from liberal networks, called Rahami, “a naturalized U.S. citizen from Afghanistan.”

Newspaper and print media have also followed the trend. On Tuesday, USA Today released a story claiming to be “What we know about Ahmad Khan Rahami, suspect in NYC-area bombings.” Not once does the “inside scoop, all detailed” story mention Islam or call the suspect a Muslim, leaving readers to guess his religion.
