On Thursday night, over a thousand people protested conferences held by Reps. Jason Chaffetz of Utah and Diane Black of Tennessee in response to the decision to repeal Obamacare.
According to CNN, a school auditorium in a suburb of Salt Lake City was packed with angry constituents ready to confront Chaffetz.
“Folks — I get one sentence into it, you say I’m not answering the question,” Chaffetz complained, as the shouting crowd prevented him from answering questions. “I am answering the question, OK?”
Chaffetz’ response easily summarizes the night for both he and Black, who was also met by a large crowd slamming her at a scheduled event in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

“As an overweight man, I have to have coverage to make sure I don’t die,” Mike Carlson, a student, said to Chaffetz. “There are people now who have cancer that have that coverage, that have to have that coverage to make sure they don’t die.”
Carlson was one of many people at the protest upset over healthcare concerns.
“As a Christian, my whole philosophy in life is pull up the unfortunate,” Jessi Bohon, a high-school teacher said. “The individual mandate, that’s what it does. The healthy people pull up the sick.”

Others blasted Chaffetz for supporting the decision to defund Planned Parenthood. According to CNN, crowds outside of the auditorium held signs and chanted, “We’ll be back,” and “Investigate Trump,” among other things.
A recent report by CNN says House Speaker Paul Ryan and other GOP leaders have asked for increased security at town hall meetings due to their unpredictable nature.
