Reports started buzzing in the media Monday that Laura Ingraham is potentially being considered as a replacement for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who is reportedly taking on another role in the White House.

In an interview on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning, Ingraham was asked about the rumors and whether she is interested in the position.

“I’ve always said that if it’s something that I think I could do well and it would really advance the agenda of this administration at a time where I think there’s so much at stake for the country and the future, I would think about it,” she responded.

“I’m not sure if that’s the role I would pick for myself,” Ingraham said, indicating that with a legal background and strategic political communications experience she might could fill other roles as well. “I’m not sure if the Press Secretary thing is something I’m dying to do,” she added.

Ainsley Earhardt asked her, “You have to be tough as nails – it wouldn’t intimidate you to do it?”

“You’re joking, right?” Ingraham responded.
