DML Op-Ed: List of Cyber Attacks on the U.S. Under Obama

Written by DML

Sean Hannity of Fox News offered a very interesting report last night on his TV show, “Hannity.” Sean highlighted the cyber attacks that have taken place in the U.S. during the eight years of the Obama administration.

The list of attacks shows how vulnerable U.S. cyber systems are today. It also shows how President Obama and the mainstream media ignored the security breaches.

As the former CEO of a technology company that employed hundreds of people, I assure you that Obama’s cyber ignorance and the media’s ability to “look the other way” puts American lives at risk.

Take a look at the list below. Do you remember the Obama administration, Democrats, or the media voicing any sort of real concern? Probably not. That said, isn’t amazing how the alleged “Russian hacking” of the DNC is suddenly of paramount importance to Obama, the Democratic Party, and the army of liberal reporters who distort stories and feed lies in order to push a progressive narrative.

Fact is this: Cyber security is a major issue that needs to be addressed immediately. This is why I am thrilled that Trump has selected Rudy Giuliani as cybersecurity adviser to the president. The former mayor has spent the past sixteen years providing security solutions in the private sector.  He will be a great asset to President Trump.

You shouldn’t take cyber security lightly. As Americans, we often equate terror with explosions, airplanes flying into buildings, and lone wolf Islamists who use guns, trucks, and knives to take innocent lives. But, make no mistake, terror online has far more potential for causing destruction.

Imagine the entire east coast going dark for days because foreign hackers shut down the electrical grid. Or, imagine all the banking systems shutting down and, as a result, you cannot withdraw money from the ATM. Even worse, imagine your bank is hacked and your checking and savings balances both show $0 — somehow your funds have just “evaporated.”

These are real examples of what can really happen and, make no mistake, President Obama has left our cyber systems wide open to these sort of attacks, just check the list below.  I will discuss this today during my Walk & Talk scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST.
