A new online and telephone survey by Rasmussen Reports shows the majority of voters agree with President Donald Trump and his executive order that temporarily bans immigrants from seven “countries of concern” and refugees.
According to Rasmussen Reports, 57% of likely U.S. voters support a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. The report went on to say that this same percentage of voters want the U.S. vetting system to improve before allowing more immigrants and refugees from these seven countries to enter the U.S.
Additionally, the report shows 56% of voters are in favor of temporarily blocking visas from residents of the seven terror-laden countries. When asked about the national security, only 32% of voters said they feel the country is safer today than it was under the Obama administration. Meanwhile, 34% said they will feel safer five years from now.
The survey consisted of 1,000 “likely voters” from January 25-26 of this year.
