Police are reporting that early on Thursday at a Bronx home, a 72-year-old man got into an argument with his much younger wife and shot her in the head, leaving her on the brink of death.
The deranged man is accused of putting a bullet through his 28-year-old wife’s head around 8:40 a.m. inside their house on Glebe Ave. near Lyon Ave. in Parkchester.
First responders took the woman immediately to Jacobi Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.
Cops arrested the husband at the scene and seized his small-caliber firearm from him. Charges are pending.
Reports have stated that there is a history of domestic incidents at the home and that the couple may have been preparing to divorce.
