Man admits to tossing ex-girlfriend’s dog 70 feet to her death

NEW YORK — A Queens man has admitted to authorities that he purposely threw his ex-girlfriend’s dog off a seventh-floor balcony.

On Monday, callous menace Yuk Cheung pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals and tampering with evidence for the killing of his ex-girlfriend’s companion, Yoda.

The 35-year-old now faces 45 days behind bars and five years’ probation after he tossed Yoda off a Fresh Meadows balcony following a dispute with his ex regarding who would take care of the 12-year-old pooch.

Yoda fell 70 feet to her death after Cheung told his ex she “would not have to worry about the dog anymore,” authorities said. He brought the hound to the balcony and chucked her over the edge. He told his ex the pup had “slipped.”

Cheung then scraped Yoda’s scattered remains off the sidewalk and threw them into a dumpster, according to reports.

Cheung won’t be allowed to own a pet for five years and must register with the New York City Department of Health as an animal abuser.
