Five hours after a Macon, Georgia man posted comments on Facebook telling the public to “kill all white cops,” police came after him, arrested him and hauled him off to jail.
Derrick “De De” Hudson, posted a comment on the WGXA TV station’s Facebook page about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to The Telegraph. He wrote, “Just kill all white cracker cops LLH” (laughing like hell), under a post showing a video of Alton Sterling’s teenage son speaking about his father’s death.
Others rebuked Hudson for the comment, and a Bibb County sheriff sergeant took a screenshot of it. He is being charged with soliciting people to commit murder.
The arrest warrant said Hudson’s comments were “constituting murdering law enforcement officers both locally and abroad by reaching out to the public on a social platform in a matter that requests, commands and importunes another person to kill.”
In a similar incident in Michigan, four men were arrested in Detroit last Sunday for posting threatening social media comments calling for the death of police officers.
However, an NFL player who posted a drawing showing a masked man stabbing a police officer in the throat got off with a simple apology.
