Man Arrives At Polls Told He Has Already Voted

DML received notification Tuesday morning of an alarming incident that occurred when a man went to vote in South Carolina.

Chad Charles, of Greenwood, posted a note on Facebook, saying he had been standing in line at the  Greenwood County Courthouse since 6:30 am, in order to vote.   He was number 14 in line.

When his turn came to vote, he was informed that he had already voted by absentee ballot.

Charles said, “Now I have to go to the courthouse and dispute this in order to vote.  I’m wondering who I voted for.  I DID NOT post this to bring about accusations of the elections being rigged, I just found it comical.”

Charles later posted an update, saying the courthouse gave him a piece of paper and sent him back to the voting precinct, where he stood in line for 35 minutes and then cast his vote.

“So I guess I’ve voted twice,” he concluded.
