Man kills gunman at gas station, will not face charges [Watch Video]

Surveillance video captured a terrifying incident at a gas station in Elmwood Park, Illinois.  A man with a gun approached another man sitting in his car and they both suddenly began shooting at each other.

According to police, 43-year-old Ronald Morales made eye contact with a man who was pumping gas into his vehicle. He then left the convenience store and immediately approached the man, who by that time had sat back down in his car.

Police say the man in the vehicle felt threatened by Morales who had opened his passenger door aggressively. That is when the man in the car got out and fired his own gun at Morales in fear for his life.  Morales started to fire back but quickly ran away with injuries that resulted in his death.  The man who killed him then sped off in his vehicle.

Police say the footage from the gas station helped them determine if there were going to be any charges made in the shootout. Using the video, along with eyewitnesses from the scene, police concluded that the man who killed Morales was acting in self defense and will not face charges.
