Danish Ho was horrified when he came across a ‘hammerhead worm’ (Bipalium) – the world’s largest flatworm species. But Ho had to film the creature, which he thought at the time was a snake.
Ho saw the creature while hiking with his family, who are from the city of Johor Bahru, capital of Malaysia’s southern Johor state. In Ho’s clip, which was shared over 82,000 times in Malaysia, you can hear him ask: “What kind of snake is this?”
The Hammerhead worm is carnivorous and traps its prey using slime. It can also reproduce by splitting itself in two, which is what Ho captured.
