Following reports of Sen. John McCain contracting brain cancer after a tumor was discovered, the former Republican presidential candidate himself took to Twitter to reassure Americans he was not going anywhere.

In his tweet, McCain thanks everyone for the well wishes and gratitude. However, he then states that he will return when the time comes to continue the healthcare battle that is plaguing congress.

McCain writes: “I greatly appreciate the outpouring of support – unfortunately for my sparring partners in Congress, I’ll be back soon, so stand-by!”

Numerous political officials offered their support to McCain, such as President Trump, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.
