Melania Trump is taking legal action against the various news outlets who she says published defamatory stories about her life prior to marrying Donald Trump.
According to Politico, Trump is taking legal action against the Daily Mail and other outlets who published false stories about her once working for an escort service in the 1990s.
Last week, the Daily Mail published a story about Melania’s past which they characterized as “very racy.” The article highlighted allegations of Melania have multiple romantic relationships, and it claims the modeling agency Melania Trump used to work for was actually an escort service. Other news outlets ran the same story.
Excerpt from the Daily Mail article: “On the one hand they [the girls] pretended to be models, but they principally earned money as elite escorts.”
But according to Melania’s attorney, the details in the story are “100% false, highly damaging to her reputation, and personally hurtful.”
