Memphis Police Department responded to a Facebook Live incident on Saturday morning when a man tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire and filming the gruesome scene on Facebook Live.

According to ex-girlfriend Alyssa Moore, the man, who police identified as Jared McLemore, has a history of domestic violence and has threatened to kill her.

When they arrived at the scene, police found McLemore severely burned and rushed him to a local hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

Police noted that another man suffered burns when he tried to help McLemore by kicking the lighter away from him. His injuries were not life-threatening, but he was also taken to the hospital.
